What if tomorrow an active shooter attacks your company? The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recommends RUN, HIDE, FIGHT. It sounds like good advice, right? Yet, if you don’t know the right techniques and tactics, at the right moment, a mistake can get you seriously injured or killed. After all, you’d be literally in a combat situation.
Jim Wagner (former corrections officer, police officer, SWAT officer, bodyguard, federal agent fighting the Global War on Terrorism, Military Police soldier, Security Forces supervisor in charge of protecting an entire military base, team leader of a military Special Response Team, and self-defense and tactical instructor for three decades) has been training police agencies and military units around the world on how to engage active shooters since 1993, long before it was on most people’s radar. In 2003 he expanded his program to teaching civilians how to survive active shooter incidents (government offices, small businesses, large corporations, and organizations).
