Yes, girls and women need to know how to kick or knee an attacker in the groin, or do an eye gouge, but empty hand techniques is just a small percent of what girls and women must know, and it’s certainly not the first thing that they should be taught.
First comes situational awareness training, which opens women’s eyes to the threats: knowing the Criminal Assault Cycle, sexual harassment indicators, Threat Zones, counter-surveillance methods, criminal tricks, and more.
Of course, not all attacks against women are committed by strangers. Some students must be taught how to deal with an aggressive boyfriend, an ex-boyfriend who becomes a stalker, or domestic violence for those who cohabitate with an abusive partner or spouse. My background as a custody officer and street cop, along with training thousands of law enforcement officers worldwide, was a big contributor on how the Women’s Survival program was created and developed since 1986; over three decades.
Then, when it comes to actual conflict training most self-defense schools, I hate to say, do not parallel reality. It’s for this very reason I can greatly improve your current program.
My Women’s Survival training is so realistic that a German television station filmed one of my courses and millions of Germans, Swiss, and Austrians saw the show, and the re-runs. CLICK HERE
